Moving Towards Clean, Green Meal Delivery

One of the biggest steps in Akshaya Patra’s sustainability journey is the transition from fuel-based vehicles to Electric Vehicles (EVs) in our meal distribution fleet. 

• 86 EVs are already running, delivering hot meals with zero tailpipe emissions
• Our goal is to expand to 200 EVs by 2025-26
• This shift cuts down fuel costs, reduces pollution, and lowers our overall carbon footprint

Each EV directly supports the daily journey our hot, nutritious meals make from our centralised kitchens to lakhs of school children. But achieving this transition requires collective support.
